Like an ability or a muscle, hearing your
inner wisdom is strengthened by doing it

- Robbie Gass

I have always considered myself artistic, but my drive to create art has waned in recent years. In 1997, I retreated from both from my artist self and society. In August of 1998, I went to Burning Man. In the middle of the Nevada desert, I felt like a lost soul that had found the holy land. All around me were artists living and breathing art in a surreal landscape. Soon afterwards, my best friend told me about "the Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity" by Julia Cameron. And in reading the introduction, I knew that I would soon embark upon a path which would change my life ... and it already has!

I want to share as much as I can of my journey through this book. And I urge those of you also on this path to contact me so that I can share in your experiences.

For those of you unfamiliar with this book, I'll give you some background: every week there are different exercises you do in order to reconnect to your creative self. These involve thinking about issues and writing responses in order to work them through. You also have to take yourself on an "artist date" - only you and your inner artist allowed.
